My Birthday

Had a relaxing smooth day , and most importantly, it was a Sat!haha..spent my day strolling in Orchard, havin a great nice seafood buffet in Mandarin Orchard, end with a perfect movie "The Avengers"..simply perfect.Attached are some photos to share for my birthday celebrations and pressies ;)

My advert dream...

I have always dream of being the tv advertisement or print ad star since the day I learnt what is advertisement...Used to watch at all the advertisement admiringly and how the talents/models carry themselves in the commercial roles..Just simply impressive.And ofcourse, advert /print ad star is definitely different from being an actress and all, although have its simple similarities...which is both of these, will require someone to be able to act out a role that they are assigned with, and a make believe to the viewers. All these years, I have been trying to find my way to be in the tv ads, but just either no luck or dunno where to begin..Had a couple of small shots both print and tv ads ( the simple minor roles).After all these years, it is really about luck! That is what I found ..
One day, I just decided to browse through the web in search of where I can go for advert audition, after not being active in this for a while.Then I dropped my email of interest in hope of someone that can be my lucky star responding to my silent prayers from my heart.I got the chance to go for casting and an audition for tv advert that they are currently happen to be in search of talent...Was pretty nervous, cos was wanting to get the advert so badly, just gave my all during my audition..the person who casted me really helped me a lot...Got a call to inform that I was shortlisted in just less than a week, was being called again in a couple of days there after and being told I've got one of the advert role..I was so close to really scream out loud and jump for joy in my quiet office! Haha..
Went for wardrobe fitting thereafter, understood further of the role I have won and was very much to my delight that am suppose to portray as a makeup artist / consultant..and it is a pretty huge advert on tv by Mediacorp..So lookin forward for it.So close to sleepless nights till the day for my shoot.Took half day off from work.Super excited!! Just didn't know how happy I am to get this advert..
On the actual day, went to the advert venue, was pretty hungry but didn't bother to eat cos was still so excited with the advert shoot.Got my make up done, hair done and got the advert wardrobe on.All ready an set!! Everyone on the set is pretty friendly and helpful..you can feel the warmth and friendships from all,also met the agency's customers in person as well.They were really polite, they introduced themselves, shook hands with me and thank me for doing this shoot for their advert ;)Met up with the makeup artist that have makeover for me in my previous tv advert 5-6 years ago... And she still remembers me!! I did take a photo with her in her artsy glasses, but she has requested me not to post her photo tho.
The director was pretty friendly too, and make sure every shot of the advert is perfect before deciding on the chosen shot.He was nice to show me my scene after the perfect take..I really can't wait to see this advert on tv! Although I am just playin a small part of the entire advertisement,am really happy to be given this chance to try.Wish I am lucky and have the chance to really make it into the Singapore market in the advert industry as a talent.
The advert should be screening on Tv on all Singapore tv channels from 17May onwards.Do watch out for me! I'm the one in the mrt , reading the 8Days magazine when the mrt doors open :)
